Citizens Bank has been named one of the Most Reputable Banks in the country, according to the American Banker/Reputation Institute Survey of Bank Reputations released today.
Citizens Bank placed ninth out of 32 banks based on customer scores on the 2015 list of America’s most reputable banks. Citizens’ 2015 customer results showed the fourth-best year-over-year improvement in the industry. Conducted annually by American Banker and Reputation Institute, the survey asks respondents to rank banks according to factors of corporate reputation that the Reputation Institute applies across industries.

Over the past two years, Citizens has enhanced its product offerings and introduced new products as part of its Bank Better program. Significant developments in 2014 and 2015 included:
- One Deposit Checking – where just one deposit each statement period – of any amount – waives the monthly maintenance fee. One Deposit Checking includes the $5 Overdraft Pass – no overdraft charges for any transactions of $5 or less.
- Education Refinance Loan – the Education Refinance Loan allows college graduates to refinance both private and federal student loans. Citizens is the only national bank to offer the federal loan refinancing option in the U.S.
- The new Cash Back Plus World MasterCard® – A new credit card offering up to 1.8% cash back on everyday purchases.
Designated one of the Best Banks in America by Money magazine in both 2014 and 2015, Citizens also has consistently received national recognition from industry analysts at Javelin Associates for the quality of its mobile banking apps. Earlier this year, Citizens Commercial Banking was honored with the Greenwich Middle Market Banking Excellence Award in the Northeast for overall Client satisfaction. Most recently, Citizens’ commitment to diversity resulted in recognition from Professional Woman’s Magazine, Hispanic Network Magazine and Black EOE Journal.
