Some of the businesses that have been hit the hardest during the pandemic are the ones in the beauty, wellness, and personal care sector. To alleviate the stress of cash-flow brought about by stay-at-home orders, Genbook launched #SpreadLoveInstead, a campaign designed to inspire the public to help small businesses generate income during the peak of the COVID-19 crisis.
Genbook’s campaign boosted referrals and awareness for its business directory, which gets upwards of 1 million monthly client visitors. From there, the company encouraged clients to support their favorite Genbook businesses by purchasing gift certificates via its dedicated Give Local marketplace, which they could donate or use at a later date.
Genbook’s campaign helped thousands of businesses weather the storm. One such Genbook customer, Sa-Sah Salon in Virginia, had an exceptional response of support from their community and the campaign.
