CHICAGO, Dec. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- United Airlines launches service tomorrow from Los Angeles to Frankfurt, strengthening its international network and providing one-stop connections to cities across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Indian subcontinent through its Star Alliance partnership and codeshare agreements. Introductory each-way fares are available for as low as $224 (weekday) and $234 (weekend) based on required roundtrip purchase.**

"Our business travelers will have numerous dining and entertainment options that will leave them refreshed and ready to work right after they land."
Following an appetizer and soup, customers traveling in United First(R) will dine from a selection of entrees, including Charlie Trotter's orange and ginger cured duck confit with roasted shallot vinaigrette, braised fennel and hazelnut jasmine. United Business(R) customers will follow an appetizer with a choice of three entrees that includes Charlie Trotter's Thai barbecue braised boneless beef short ribs with Yukon gold potato puree, sauteed baby bok choy and caramelized pearl onions.
Customers in all cabins will have a wide range of entertainment options, including The Darjeeling Limited, Hairspray, Resurrecting the Champ, and Superbad. United First customers will have additional movies available through their personal video systems, including Ocean's Thirteen, Shrek the Third, and The Simpson's Movie.
United Flight 904 will depart Los Angeles International Airport at 5:25 p.m. Saturday and land at Frankfurt International Airport on Sunday at 1:25 p.m. local time. United Flight 905 will depart Frankfurt on Sunday at 3:20 p.m., arriving in Los Angeles at 6:14 p.m. the same day.
United will operate the combined passenger and cargo service using a B777 aircraft configured with 12 United First seats, 49 United Business seats and 197 United Economy(R) seats, including 83 Economy Plus(R) seats that offer up to five more inches of legroom. With the B777 aircraft, United has the capability to carry approximately 15 tons of cargo per flight between the Los Angeles and Frankfurt.
