Polo Ralph Lauren Announces Judith McHale to Leave Board of Directors Accepting White House State Department Appointment

Polo Ralph Lauren (NYSE: RL) announced today the resignation of Judith McHale from the Polo Ralph Lauren Board of Directors due to her recent appointment and confirmation as Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs for the State Department in President Obama’s Administration.

Ms. McHale has served on the Polo Ralph Lauren Board since February 2001. She served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Discovery Communications, Inc., the parent company of cable television’s Discovery Channel, from June 2004 to December 2006, and served as its President and Chief Operating Officer from 1995 to 2004.
